HISTORY

This Starcraft began in 2000 as Sixteens' outlet for the 1998 recording of their self-titled album. At that time, Kristo Louise and Voov Pauli could only take the endeavor halfway seriously due to impending financial obstacles and a common disregard for such.

The literary side of This Starcraft was inspired by The Lit-Ex which manifested in Andrew Arduini's Selections from: the Areas and Other Short Works; and The Bellero Shie: Readings for Discussion, by Jay Davis

Aaron Larsen:

"The way I remember it, they put on a San Francisco book opening (in which Kristo and I both participated) to kick off their North American book tour. Two months later they came back. Kristo and I had conveniently inhabited their house while they were away.

Before they left, Andrew and Jay had invited me to take up residence in The Earthquake Room -- a small alcove at the back of the flat no larger than a closet and crammed wall to wall with every item imaginable. There was only enough floor space to fit a small reclining chair in the middle. The idea was that when the earthquake came the person nodding off in the chair would be caved in and smashed by all the junk.

Pure brilliance!

Two months later, they came back. The four of us lived together another month. Next, we put fruit, condiments, and chicken carcasses in the walls and electric outlets, broke the ceiling fan and disbanded in an irresponsible manner."

The year now is 2016. For the moment, the windows have been newly shattered and one can only approve or disapprove of the bits of sound, image and lexical arrangement sporing off into the ether.
